Con il comunicato stampa allegato di seguito ASUS ha lanciato recentemente al CES il nuovo notebook siglato G70 e concepito per l'HD Gaming di elevata qualità. Il sistema reso disponibile dal produttore taiwanense si avvale della tecnologia NVIDIA SLI, mediante la quale è stata implementata la sezione grafica che include due gpu NVIDIA GeForce 8700M GT in SLI e un gigabyte di RAM dedicata.
In accordo ad ASUS, il notebook G70 è capace di illuminare il proprio display da 17-inch con immagini aventi una risoluzione di 1920x1200 e di gestire fino a 8Gb di memoria centrale. La resa dell'audio built-in è garantita da diffusori by Altec Lansing (il kit integrato è composto da due satelliti e un subwoofer, ndr) mentre l'interfacciamento con il mondo High-Definition viene realizzato mediante la porta HDMI. Il lettore di dischi ottici è tuttavia dotato di supporto per i soli dischi DVD (e precedenti).
