ASUS ha reso nota, mediante il comunicato stampa di seguito allegato, la realizzazione di due schede grafiche della gamma Radeon, basate sui nuovi processori grafici Radeon X1950XTX e Radeon X1950 Crossfire, rilasciati poco tempo fa dal chip-maker canadese ATI.
La soluzione basata sulla gpu Radeon X1950XTX è siglata EAX1950XTX (cfr. foto seguente): il core della card lavora ad una frequenza di clock 650MHz mentre la memoria locale, avente una dimensione di 512Mb ed un'architettura aderente alle specifiche di DDR4, opera a 2GHz.
E' dotata di specifiche analoghe la versione Radeon X1950 Crossfire (cfr. foto seguente), che è siglata EAX1950CROSSFIRE ed dedicata alla realizzazione dei sistemi grafici dual-card capaci di abbinare ad una resa grafica al top di gamma - con HDR e Adaptive AA attivi - elevati tassi di frame rate.
Entrambe le schede video, che risultano essere Windows Vista ready in virtù del supporto di HDCP, implementano la Splendid Video Intelligence Technology di Asus: questa tecnologia ottimizza la qualità dell'immagine in funzione della tipologia dell'applicativo in esecuzione.
