Mediante il seguente comunicato stampa NVIDIA ha lanciato la scheda grafica siglata Quadro FX 4800. Si tratta di una soluzione di fascia alta progettata per l'impiego con i sistemi dedicati agli ambiti professionali di mechanical computer-aided design (MCAD) e digital content creation (DCC).
La card è dotata di 1.5GB di RAM on board ed è capace di lavorare in FSAA a 32x e di codificare i colori con 30-bit; la risoluzione massima a cui può lavorare la sua uscita DVI dual-link è pari a 3840 x 2400 @ 24Hz.
La Quadro FX 4800 è già disponibile nei cataloghi delle principali aziende partner di NVIDIA, ovvero PNY Technologies (US e EMEA), Leadtek (APAC) e Elsa (Giappone); il suo MSRP è pari a $1.999.

Real-time Visualization of Large Data Sets - Equipped with 1.5 GB graphics memory, the Quadro FX 4800 has the capacity to process large textures and frames in real time while providing fill rates of 38 billion texels per second and geometry performance of 300 million triangles per second.
Increased Image Quality: A 128-bit precision graphic pipeline and 32x FSAA for better image clarity and quality.
Ultra-high Color Fidelity and Resolutions: Dual 10-bit display ports delivering a color palette of over a billion colors, orders of magnitude greater than previous generations of graphics cards.
