Apple ha annunciato che i download di OS X Mountain Lion hanno superato i tre milioni in quattro giorni, rendendola la release OS X di maggiore successo nella storia di Apple. Con oltre 200 nuove funzioni innovative, Mountain Lion è la nona importante versione del sistema operativo più avanzato al mondo ed è disponibile attraverso il Mac App Store come aggiornamento per gli utenti Lion o Snow Leopard a €15,99.

Apple announced that downloads of OS X Mountain Lion have exceeded three million in four days, making it the most successful OS X release in Apple’s history.
