Con il comunicato stampa di seguito allegato, Club 3D ha annunciato la video card non reference Radeon HD 6870 Overclocked Edition, una soluzione basata sulla gpu Bart XT di AMD, che include 1120 stream processor, e configurata per l'operatività in regime di overclock dallo stesso produttore.
Le frequenze di clock della gpu e della memoria locale (1GB di G-DDR5) sono infatti pari rispettivamente a 940MHz e a 4400MHz, mentre l'ampiezza del bus che interconnette tali componenti è a 256-bit.
Tra le tecnologie supportate dal prodotto, oltre a DirectCompute 11, OpenCL, AMD CrossfireX, Microsoft DirectX 11 e AMD Eyefinity, citiamo AMD HD3D, che permette di eseguire un game in modalità stereo 3D, pilotando fino a 3 monitor con una singola scheda grafica, e EyeSpeed, che ottimizza la riproduzione dei contenuti multimediali su Blu-ray 3D.
Il kit di porte di uscita include due dual-link DVI, due mini DisplayPort e una HDMI.
