Con il comunicato stampa di seguito allegato, Biostar ha annunciato la commercializzazione della motherboard TPOWER X58A (cfr. la foto seguente), una soluzione che va ad ampliare la gamma di prodotti high-end che già include le schede madri TPOWER X58 e TPOWER I45.
La TPOWER X58A viene proposta dal produttore come una delle soluzioni migliori sul mercato per la gestione dei processori Core i7 di Intel, che sappiamo essere dotati del socket LGA-1366. E' basata sul northbridge X58 e sul southbridge ICH10R; supporta la modalità triple channel in abbinamento alle memorie DDR3 (installabili fino a un massimo di 24GB) operanti a 1333MHz, 1600MHz e 2000MHz.
Come tipicamente accade per le motherboard Nehalem Ready, anche la TPOWER X58A supporta sia la tecnologia ATI Hybrid CrossFireX che NVIDIA SLI; più in dettaglio Biostar ha equipaggiato la scheda con 3 slot PCI-Express x16 2.0 in configurazione x16,x16,x4. Inoltre, la TPOWER X58A può vantare l'integrazione del sottosistema audio Realtek ALC888S e il controller Gigabit Ethernet Realtek RTL8111C, oltre a 6 porte SATA II a 3Gb/s, 2 eSATA II a 3Gb/s, una porta IDE o PATA e 8 porte USB 2.0.
