Con il comunicato stampa di seguito allegato, OCZ Technology Group ha annunciato la realizzazione della serie di drive a stato solido, o SSD, da 2.5-inch siglata Summit. I nuovi Solid State Drive sono soluzioni ad alte prestazioni pensate per soddisfare in pieno le esigenze sia degli utenti consumer definibili "enthusiast" che dei professionisti (gli SSD Summit sono definiti come "altamente affidabili" dal produttore e tale feature ne favorisce l'impiego in ambito aziendale, ndr).

Equipaggiati con una memoria cache da 128MB, finalizzata, come al solito, alla velocizzazione del trasferimento dei dati, i nuovi SSD possono vantare una velocità di lettura che può raggiungere i 220MB/s e una velocità di scrittura massima pari a 200MB/s. Al momento la gamma include tre modelli, che si distinguono in base alla capacità di memorizzazione, che può essere pari a 64GB, 128GB e 250GB.
