HP impiegherà queste card nelle sue workstation high-end.

MARKHAM, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - April 6, 2006) - ATI Technologies Inc. (TSX:ATY)(NASDAQ:ATYT) today announced that its next generation FireGL V7350 and FireGL V7300 workstation graphics accelerators have been certified by HP as a part of the company's thorough testing process to ensure a more stable and reliable experience for workstation customers. As the industry's first one gigabyte (1GB) graphics accelerator, the FireGL V7350 is ideally suited for CAD, DCC, imaging and visualization users working with extremely large datasets.

"The introduction of the FireGL V7350 and FireGL V7300 ultra high-end workstation accelerators is the latest step in a continual evolution of the ATI's workstation line. These new products deliver increased geometry processing and pixel shading capabilities, two dual-link outputs and up to 1GB of GDDR3 memory," said Joe Chien, General Manager, Workstation Group, ATI. "The combination of an HP workstation and these new ATI FireGL graphics accelerators delivers better performance, better image quality and better features to a wide range of professional users."

"HP is consistently bringing breakthrough products to market, but never at the expense of quality and reliability - which is why our Tested and Certified Program is critical to how we support customers with options like the new FireGL V7350 and FireGL V7300," said Will Wade, Worldwide Workstation Graphics Product Manager, HP. "Working with suppliers like ATI enables us to provide our engineering and design customers with advanced and higher performing graphics solutions."

The FireGL graphics cards were thoroughly evaluated against an extensive suite of performance and reliability tests before successfully passing. Industrial designers, architects, automotive engineers, animators and other graphics professionals utilizing these graphics cards for their day to day work have come to appreciate the extensive qualification process that HP demands before endorsing any graphics accelerator.

ATI's FireGL workstation products are also optimized and certified for professional 3D applications, and are supported by a unified driver, making system administration and upgrades cost effective and simple. All FireGL products come with a three-year warranty.
